With over 13 years’ experience, Mr. Maswabi has provided in-depth and robust legal services in the areas of administrative law, arbitration, corporate/commercial law, conveyancing and notarial practice, data protection and regulation, debt recoveries, employment and labour law, insolvency, insurance law, and succession and estates law, among other areas.
He has served several individual and leading corporate clients including private companies, companies listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange and parastatals. Mr. Maswabi also provides litigation services in complex matters in the High Court, going all the way to the Court of Appeal.
Mr. Maswabi’s soft skills include excellent communication skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, problem solving, emotional intelligence, ethics and integrity, time management and organisation, and team work and collaboration.
He is an associate member of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa) NPC. He is an active member of the Law Society of Botswana and, on a pro bono basis, forms but of the team that examines candidates for the annual bar examinations which are a requirement for admission to practice law in Botswana for entrants who did not graduate from the University of Botswana. Mr. Maswabi is also a Trial Advocacy trainer with Justice Advocacy Africa. In this voluntary and pro bono role he provides training for lawyers, equipping them with trial skills.
